Research and Technical Training

McGill University has a long history of excellence in research and training. During both World Wars, McGill advanced research in the fields of communications, pulp and paper, chemical research, and health. This led to numerous innovations and advancements in science and technology, such as radio and radar technologies and the effects of sea-sickness. McGill has a proud tradition of providing training and education for its students, including military training for civilians entering the Canadian Forces.
