Women in Service

Many of the women graduates of the Royal Victoria College contributed to the war efforts as emergency aides or enlistees in the Women’s Division of various Royal Canadian Services, including the Nursing Services of the Army Medical Corps. Aside from military duty, McGill women also participated in civilian organizations such as the McGill Women’s Union and Women’s War Registry. These courageous women worked in diverse conditions to care for the infirm and support the soldiers overseas.
