The McGill University - Scanning Standards for Administrative Records [PDF] is now available. This document is a draft pending final approval.

McGill University offices considering scanning projects are urged to consult the Scanning Standards document and to contact representatives of the University Archives and Information Systems Resources for advice and assistance regarding compliance with the emerging standard. McGill University offices are also encouraged to consult the draft Business Process Checklist before embarking on an imaging project.

This consultation is critical to ensure the University’s compliance with its own regulation, the McGill University Records Retention Schedule (MURRS), governing the management of McGill University records as well as existing University technical requirements.
